DOMNICA CIRCIUMARU
Domnica Circiumaru is a Romanian casting director with an experience of over 21 years in film and television. Domnica worked for over 80 foreign and Romanian film features collaborating with national and international directors including: Francis Lee (“God’s Own Country”), Martin Campbell (‘’The Protégé’’)Francesca Comencini (“Django”)Veit Helmer (’The Bra”), Claude Lelouch (“What war may bring”), Mick Davis (“Modigliani”), Joel Schumacher (“Town Creek”), Fredrick Bond (“Charlie Countryman”), Linda Yellen ( “William & Catherine: A Royal Romance”), , Cristian Nemescu (“California dreaming”), Christian Carion (“Joyeux Noel”), David Yates (“Sex Traffic”) and others.
In addition to her work in film, Domnica has also made significant contributions to the television industry. Over the past 11 years, she has been involved in various TV series, including the longest-running and highly successful Romanian comedy series “Las Fierbinti” (24 seasons, 2012-present on ProTV), the Romanian drama series “Vlad” (4 seasons), “Clanul” (4 seasons), and “Groapa,” as well as the recent HBO Europe local TV drama series “Shadows” (3 seasons), the HBO MAX mini TV series “Spy Master” (6 episodes), and “RUXX” (6 episodes).
Domnica’s journey in casting began in 2001 as a casting assistant at a renowned casting agency. From 2004 to 2012, she served as a casting director at the largest Romanian film studio, Media Pro Pictures. In 2013, she established her own casting office. Beginning with 2015 she is a member of the International Casting Director Network (ICDN) and European Film Academy (EFA) and in 2021 she became a member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
