DOMNICA CIRCIUMARU
Domnica Circiumaru is a Romanian casting director with an experience of over 18 years in film and television. Domnica worked for over 70 foreign and Romanian film features collaborating with national and international directors including: Francis Lee (“God’s Own Country”), Veit Helmer (’The Bra”), Claude Lelouch (“What war may bring”), Mick Davis (“Modigliani”), Joel Schumacher (“Town Creek”), Fredrick Bond (“Charlie Countryman”), Linda Yellen ( “William & Catherine: A Royal Romance”), Courtney Solomon (“An American haunting”, Cristian Nemescu (“California dreaming”), Christian Carion (“Joyeux Noel”), David Yates (“Sex Traffic”) and others.
Domnica also worked in the past 9 years for over ten TV series out of which the longest running and most successful Romanian comedy TV series “Las Fierbinti” (20 seasons, 2012-present / ProTV), the Romanian comedy TV series “Worst Week” (2 seasons, 2013-2014 / ProTV), the Romanian drama TV Series “ Vlad” (4 seasons, 2019-2021) / ProTV) as well as the latest HBO Europe local TV drama series “Shadows” (2014-2019) / HBO Europe).
Domnica started working as a casting assistant in 2001 with a casting agency and later on as a casting director worked from 2004 to 2012 in the largest Romanian film studio, Media Pro Pictures. In 2013 Domnica established her own office. Beginning with 2015 she is a member of the International Casting Director Network (ICDN) and European Film Academy (EFA) and in 2021 she became a member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
